Reuben is deeply concerned about the rights of the down-trodden, women, the boy child, persons living with disability, refugees and marginalized populations. Using his social media accounts, mainstream media, public meetings and government programmes, Reuben defends basic human rights such as food, clean water, education, access to health services and jobs. He has been involved with defending constitutionalism in Kenya including being one of the conveners of the Linda Katiba Movement, which has been championing the protection and full implementation of Kenya’s constitution. He has conducted civic education on the same and fought for inclusive democracy to the point of running for office. Reuben also regularly defends the church from unfair criticism and answers questions raised by its critics.
